Linus Torvalds in Live Streaming from LinuxConThe Linux Foundation will be holding its first LinuxCon conference from September 21 through 23 in Portland, Oregon. Linus Torvalds and Mark Shuttleworth will be among the speakers, and Linux Pro Magazine Online will do a live stream, free for the keynotes. “All matters Linux” is the theme of the Linux Foundation’s LinuxCon event. Anyone interested in the theme is invited, including users, kernel developers, administrators, and industry experts alike, and the program is correspondingly varied. The gathering is also a rare occasion to see and hear Linus Torvalds, who will participate in a panel discussion about kernel development with Greg Kroah-Hartman, Chris Wright, Jonathan Corbet, James Bottomley, and Arjan van de Ven. The list of prominent participants includes Ubuntu founder Mark Shuttleworth, Debian developer Bdale Garbee, openSUSE community leader Joe “Zonker” Brockmeier, and IBM chief Bob Sutor.
