Russia approves Oracle’s Sun acquisition

Russia’s anti-monopoly regulator, FAS, has approved the acquisition of Sun Microsystems by Oracle, but does require that Oracle continues to develop MySQL. The investigation into the merger by the Russian authorities began in the closing weeks of the European Commission’s investigation. The EC approved the deal unconditionally a week later.
