Mozilla: Firefox holds nearly 40 per cent market share in Europe

The Mozilla Foundation, the non-profit organisation behind the Firefox web browser, has published its first ever quarterly analyst report on the state of the internet and its browser’s worldwide market share. According to Mozilla, Firefox currently holds a worldwide market share of almost 30% and in Europe has a share of nearly 40% – 152.7 million European users. In a post on the Mozilla Metrics blog, Ken Kovash says that Mozilla “wanted to create a somewhat standardised, ongoing report capturing the state of the internet as seen through Mozilla’s eyes.”
