OLPC laptops for East Africa and Palestinian children

The One Laptop per Child (OLPC) initiative has announced that it signed a new partnership with the East African Community (EAC). Under the agreement, the two organisations hope to equip all students in EAC countries, from primary school to university, with laptops by 2015 and to “promote strategies for better access to laptops and connectivity”. OLPC Vice President Matt Keller said that, “The OLPC’s partnership with the East Africa Community represents another significant step toward a world in which every child has access to a world-class education, to the world’s body of knowledge, and to each other.”
