This brings DL 4.0 to Beta 5, along with some interesting features:

based on Debian testing (squeeze);
- XFCE-4.6.1;
- Java and Mono runtimes, since several applications rely on these two platforms;
- kernel 2.6.32.10-dream-2, the latest one configured.
- complete framework for compiling sources, debian packages etc.
- C/C++/Objective-C, Ruby, Python, Perl, Vala and Lua programming languages;
- Firefox 3.6.3;
- Brasero, for CD/DVD burning;
- SMPlayer media player;
- ePDFViewer;
- Geany Text Editor, good for everything, include programming;
- The Gimp 2.6.8, for image manipulation;
- Inkscape 0.47, for vector graphics;
- Smart Package Manager with several utilities, including Calculator Notes  taking, pyNeighborhood, Screenshot, Xarchver, etc.

The installer is text based at the moment as the developers work on a revamped GUI for the final. There are other little things that have been added and changed here and there that should make for an interesting version.

We want to point out that this version has to be the best to date because we listened to the community’s  suggestions and thoughts and we have answered you. We need your feedback on this version as well so the devs can decide if another Beta is needed or can they move on toward a release candidate.
