CodeWeavers offers CrossOver 9.1 beta to existing customers

CodeWeavers has announced the launch of public betas for version 9.1 of its CrossOver and CrossOver Games products, both of which are based on the latest stable release of Wine. Wine (Wine Is Not an Emulator) is free open source software that allows users to run Windows applications on Linux and Unix by providing its own native replacements for Windows DLLs.

Because the most recent versions of the company’s CrossOver products were built on the development branch of Wine 1.2, they already include a number of the new features included in the second major stable release of Wine. For example, the latest Wine release features support for 64-bit Windows applications on x86-64 processors, improved standard dialogues and new graphics based on the Tango standard.
