Firefox 4 Beta Weaves In Sync, Better Tab Management

Mozilla is out with a new beta version of Firefox 4, which is a major upgrade to the browser. You can download the update now, and Mozilla’s Mike Beltzner has a good post up about it on The Mozilla Blog. The new release fully incorporates Sync, which is functionality long found in Mozilla’s Weave project, but now seamlessly part of Firefox. It allows you to sync your browser setup–including all of your preferences, bookmarks and favorites–across mobile devices. The Firefox 4 Beta also includes Panorama, which extends Firefox’s long-standing facility with tabs.

As Beltzner notes on Mozilla’s blog:

“Firefox Sync makes your bookmarks, history, Awesome Bar, passwords, form-fill data and open tabs accessible across multiple computers and mobile devices. [It] encrypts all of your data before sending it to the server and does not track your travels throughout the Web.
