openSUSE 11.1 to reach end of life in December

The openSUSE Project developers have announced that version 11.1 of their popular Linux distribution will reach its end of life in December of this year. After the 31st of December, no new updates, including security updates and critical fixes, will be available.

Following its discontinuation, the 11.1 distribution directory, including all of the installation ISOs, will be removed from the project’s servers and the openSUSE Build Service repositories for building openSUSE 11.1 will be removed. The developers strongly advise all openSUSE 11.1 users to upgrade to version 11.2 or later to continue receiving updates.
