Linux Foundation Announces Merger with Consumer Electronics Linux Forum

The Linux Foundation and the Consumer Electronics Linux Forum (CELF) eloped today in a partnership designed to strengthen the advancement of embedded Linux in the consumer electronics industry. The merger was announced early this morning and according to Nobuhiro Asai, chair of CELFs board of directors, it’s a natural progession of events since both nonprofit organizations share the same philosophy on embedded Linux and, indeed, share even many of the same members.
