Fedora 17 Could Be Called Hugo Or Shakespeare

It’s time for Fedora contributors to go crazy again… a.k.a. Red Hat is looking for codename proposals for Fedora 17, which will be their first community Linux release in 2012 to succeed the soon-to-be-released Fedora 16. Here’s some of the names that have been proposed thus far.

Among the Fedora 17 codename suggestions are Erwin, Hugo, Shakespeare, Ramon, Morgan, Alcatraz, Balboa, Koch, and Coral. Codename suggestions just began this morning. Surprisingly, Bacon hasn’t been proposed as a Fedora 17 codename, which is usually proposed frequently as the codename for this Red Hat sponsored operating system.
