Softpedia Linux Weekly, Issue 167

The following Linux-based operating systems have been announced last week: Tiny Core Linux 4.0 and DoudouLinux 1.1. In other news: Canonical added the GNOME 3 default theme to the upcoming Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot) operating system; Mozilla released the final versions of Firefox 7 and Thunderbird 7 apps for Linux; the GNOME Project unleashed the GNOME 3.2 desktop environment to the masses. For this week we’ve prepared a very nice tutorial about how to install Firefox 7 on Ubuntu 10.04 and Ubuntu 10.10, and two interesting reviews for the Transmission 2.33 and PiTiVi 0.15 applications. Also, don’t miss our brand new “Software Blog” section! The weekly ends with the video clip of the week, the updated Linux distributions, and the development releases.
