GNOME Is Still A Ways Off From 10% Goal

For those that don’t remember, the GNOME project had a goal of a 10% global desktop share by 2010, this was their “10×10″ goal. Two years later, they’re still a long way off.

You can read about the original GNOME 10×10 goal in this Phoronix news posting. Now two years later they still aren’t close to capturing a 10% desktop market-share, nor is Linux in general close to reaching this lofty goal.
